Louisville officials said Tuesday that a second case of the measles was recently diagnosed in Jefferson County.

The measles virus can remain in the air for up to two hours after an infected person leaves an area.

Louisville Mayor Craig Greenberg said of the other 12 active cases in Kentucky, 11 of the people were unvaccinated.

Six measles cases have been reported in Kentucky so far this year.
