The Indiana Supreme Court on Thursday rejected arguments by convicted murderer William Clyde Gibson III who had asked that his convictions be overturned because of ineffective counsel.
The trial is expected to begin June 16th and could last up to two weeks.
WDRB's Emily Mieure says Gibson appeared in court with a new tattoo. It read, "Death row X3."
His execution is scheduled for November 2014.
"He's a plague on society and I'm glad he's gonna go away," Mike Whitis, Christine Whitis' son, told WDRB.
Jurors took about four hours to make their decision.
That's as graphic photos and videos were shown as evidence.
Jacob Coons, Whitis' great-nephew, says they're attending in hopes of seeing justice served.
Attorneys presented opening statements today in the trial of a Floyd County man accused of killing three women.
Gibson is accused of killing 75-year old Christine Whitis, 53-year old Karen Hodella and 35 year old Stephanie Kirk.
