A proud Louisville native, Tom Vickery is a graduate of the J. Graham Brown School and a U.S. Air Force veteran, having served 10 years in the Kentucky Air National Guard as a C-130 Loadmaster. His military career included multiple global deployments, including two tours in Afghanistan, where he honed his leadership and logistical expertise.
Tom pursued his passion for communication at Jefferson Community and Technical College and the University of Louisville, laying the foundation for a successful career in media and marketing.
He joined WDRB Media in April 2011 as an Account Manager, marking the beginning of his journey in broadcast television. After a brief tenure as a Local Account Executive, Tom was promoted to National Sales Manager for WDRB, WMYO, and WBKI in November 2013. In 2014, he took on the role of Local Sales Manager at WBKI TV, and by April 2018, he was entrusted with leading the unified local sales teams for all three stations.
Tom leads a dynamic team of marketing professionals with a consultative, client-first approach. He specializes in developing and executing integrated marketing strategies across television, digital and social media for small and medium-sized businesses. His work consistently drives measurable brand growth and improved ROI for clients. He also collaborates closely with creative teams to deliver compelling, audience-targeted advertising campaigns.
Outside of work, Tom enjoys life in Mt. Washington, KY, with his wife Andrea and their four sons—Will, Alex, Eli, and Luke. Together, they love cheering on the Louisville Cardinals and the Cincinnati Bengals.
