LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Despite scoring three goals on the road, Louisville City FC earned just one point Friday night in a tie against Loudoun United FC.
LouCity at one point held a 2-1 lead before Loudoun United scored a pair of goals. But Evan Davila scored the equalizer in the 72nd minute to tie the match at 3-3.
This was the first time since August 31, 2024, that LouCity had given up three goals in a match. It was also the first time since 2019 that Loudoun earned a league point against LouCity.

"When you come on the road and you score three goals, you need to be winning the game, essentially, and we didn't do that," LouCity interim head coach Simon Bird said in a news release. "We need to look at it. We need to be more difficult to beat. We need to be more solid defensively."
The goal scored by LouCity's Brandon Dayes, who used to play basketball for St. Xavier, made him the second youngest goal scorer in club history at 17 years, 114 days old.
Next up for LouCity is a U.S. Open Cup matchup Tuesday against Austin FC. The club will then face Sporting Club Jacksonville on Saturday during the Thunder Over Louisville festivities.
