LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Gastas Stables' filly Five G was scratched from the Kentucky Oaks on Thursday morning, according to a social media post from Churchill Downs publicity director Kevin Kerstein.

The news was originally reported by David Grening of The Daily Racing Form.

The George Weaver-trained filly was on the track Thursday morning during the Oaks and Derby training window. But after her session. Weaver told Grening he didn't like the way the filly was training.

"This is the type of race where you've got to be 110 percent, and we don’t feel like she is," trainer Weaver told the Form.

She was a 12-1 morning line choice in the Oaks with Manny Franco scheduled to ride, and was set to break from the No. 8 post. After early betting the Gulfstream Park Oaks winner had risen to 23-1. Fillies to her outside will now move inside by one, including 4-5 favorite Good Cheer. Only 13 will start the Oaks, with no also-eligibles entered.

Five G was expected to vie for the lead early but hadn’t flashed the kind of gate speed of La Cara or Take Charge Milady.

The Oaks is scheduled to go to post at 5:51 p.m. Friday.
