LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A local theater group is bringing Dreamgirls to Actors Theatre.

WDRB's Keith Kaiser joins the cast before opening night.

Redline Performing Arts, in partnership with Actors Theatre of Louisville, brings the Tony, Grammy, and Academy Award-winning musical Dreamgirls to the Pamela Brown Auditorium - Sept. 19–28, 2025.

It's the iconic story of a Chicago girl group’s rise to fame in the 1960s and ’70s.

The theatrical concert blends Motown glamour with raw storytelling through lighting, live video, and unforgettable costumes.

Expect hits like “And I Am Telling You I’m Not Going,” “One Night Only,” and “Steppin’ to the Bad Side” from local and regional talent.

Dreamgirls' director Alonzo Ramont wants to pay tribute to the legacy of Black artists who broke barriers and shaped American music.

Tickets start at $35.

Redline Performing Arts is a nonprofit theatre company based in Louisville dedicated to producing bold, inclusive works that uplift underrepresented voices and create access to high-quality theatre education and performance opportunities for all.
