LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- An annual summer tradition in Kentucky kicks off in Louisville this week.
The Kentucky State Fair opens its gates for an 11-day run starting bright and early at 7 a.m. Thursday.
The Kentucky Exposition Center is ready to welcome more than 500,000 people who will take part in the food, rides, livestock shows, free concerts and more.
Admission to the fair is $12 when purchased online and kids ages five and under get in for free. Parking is included with advanced admission.
Tickets are $10 when purchased at the gate, but parking is an additional $10.
The Kentucky State Fair runs through Sunday, Aug. 24. WDRB Day at the fair is Friday, Aug. 22.
