LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Thousands of people lined the streets Saturday for the 32nd annual Frankfort Avenue Easter Parade.

Each year, floats, costumed characters, dance groups and antique cars line the streets as several organizations participated to make the day egg-stra special.

"We couldn't be happier," Ty Haberly, who attended the parade, said. "This is the end of winter, after we get out of the house of hibernation and before the bugs come out for summer. We like the Easter Bunny."

Parade entries included the Classic Volkswagen Club of Louisville, Mexico Lindo, the Louisville League of Mascots, Louisville Skaters United, River City Turners Gymnastics, the Shriners and the Easter Bunny.

The parade began in front of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church and traveled down Frankfort Avenue toward downtown Louisville, ending at Pope St. in Clifton.
