LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Louisville Fire Water Rescue crews performed a rescue in floodwaters Wednesday.

Crews were called to the 1700 block of Mellwood Avenue, near the intersection of Frankfort Avenue, around 5 p.m. on a report that a homeowner needed to be evacuated from their home due to flooding, department spokesperson Donovan Sims said. 

Sims said the Rescue 2 team was able to rescue the homeowner and take them to safety.
