LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — History and culture was the theme for this year's Portland Art and Heritage Fair.

This was the 12th year for the event that took place at the Portland Museum on Saturday, Sept. 27.

The day kicked off with a 5K followed by vendors featuring arts and crafts, and lots of food like BBQ, Haitian, and beer.

The Louisville Leopard Percussionists also performed along with the Good River String Band.

"We love being able to bring all these things to the people of Portland and have it be our neighbors don't have to go to the other side of town to have a nice fall festival - they can just have it right here in their own neighborhood," William Smith, Portland Museum Executive Assistant, said.

There were also special exhibits featuring the work of Harlan Hubbard.
