LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A Taylorsville man accused of stealing a trailer from a Fern Creek Boy Scouts troop pleaded not guilty Friday to theft charges.
Justin Portman is accused of stealing the trailer from a church on Bardstown Road. Investigators said the trailer and everything inside was worth about $7,000.
According to an arrest report, surveillance video showed Portman and another person stealing the trailer. Court records indicate this isn't the first time Portman has faced theft charges.
In court for his arraignment Friday morning, judge Katie King set Portman's bond at $5,000. He's due back in court July 27 for a hearing.
