LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The Iroquois Amphitheater will be closed next week for a paving project.
The parking lot is scheduled to be repaved starting Monday, April 15. It's expected to be finished on Friday, April 19, weather permitting.
The entire lot will be closed for the duration of the project, but the parking lot for the Iroquois Park playground and sprayground will remain open.
In a written statement, Metro Councilwoman Jennifer Chappell said the repaving project is overdue.
"I’m thrilled that the Iroquois parking area will finally be repaved," Chappell said. "It's a long overdue project that will benefit park goers, Amphitheater attendees, Jack-o-Lantern Spectacular guests, and beyond."
Signage has been posted in the area to let the public know about the closure.
