LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A new festival in Louisville will highlight America's fastest-growing sport.
On Wednesday, Louisville Mayor Craig Greenberg announced "PickleY'all: The Louisville Pickleball Festival."
The citywide event will take place Oct. 16-17 in the heart of downtown Louisville.
The free event is open to all ages and all skillsets, from first-time players to seasoned professionals.
Attendees can watch, learn and play the sport while enjoying local food, artists and music.
The festival will kick off with a volunteer effort to green and beautify downtown, followed by a community happy hour.
"PickleY'all reflects the momentum we're building across Louisville by creating experiences that bring people together, celebrate our culture, and strengthen downtown," Greenberg said in a news release Wednesday.
PickleY'all will also take place alongside the 2026 Humana APP Louisville Open, a professional pickleball tournament featuring the world's best players battling for gold at the Kentucky International Convention Center downtown.
