Waterfront Park in downtown Louisville nominated for Best Riverwalk in U.S.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Waterfront Park in downtown Louisville was nominated for the best river walk in the U.S.

Waterfront Park was selected for the Best Riverwalk by USA Today's 2024 10Best Readers' Choice Awards. The park placed third last year behind Detroit and Tampa.

"It is an honor to be nominated by the editors of 10Best as a top Riverwalk in the nation," Deborah Bilitski, president and executive director of Waterfront Park, said in a news release Monday. "It is a testament to 25 years of park excellence, having transformed our industrial waterfront to vibrant greenspace with 2.4 million visitors annually."

People can vote once per day for their favorite river walk. Voting for the competition goes through April 8 at noon.
