Another round of protests is planned in Minneapolis over the killing of a local woman by an Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer during the Trump administration’s latest immigration crackdown on a major city. Friday's protests come a day after federal immigration officers shot and wounded two people in Portland, Oregon, sparking outrage there. Capping a day of protests Thursday, hundreds of people protesting the Wednesday shooting of Renee Good marched in freezing rain down one of Minneapolis’ major thoroughfares. The Trump administration has cast Good as a villain and said the ICE officer shot her in self-defense. But state and local officials say that characterization of what happened is wrong and that the shooting was unnecessary.
