LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A man has been arrested in connection with the murder of a man found shot to death in the back seat of a car in Louisville's Algonquin neighborhood last month.
Anthony Stewart, 25, was charged with murder - domestic violence and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon for the fatal shooting of Kalend Hinkle.
Louisville Metro Police responded to a reported shooting around 3 p.m. Dec. 13, 2025, in the 1500 block of South 10th Street, department spokesperson Sgt. Matt Sanders said at the time.
Once on scene, officers found Hinkle, who had been shot multiple times, in the back seat of a vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to court documents, Stewart and Hinkle were in an intimate relationship.Â
Stewart is also a convicted felon in Jefferson County and cannot own or be in possession of a handgun.
He was arrested on a warrant Thursday and taken to the Louisville Metro Department of Corrections.
A judge set Stewart's bond at $1 million during his arraignment Friday morning. He is due back in court on Jan. 20.Â
