LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A Florida man accused of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl he met online through PlayStation appeared in court Thursday.
Louisville Metro Police said 24-year-old Alexander Gibson drove to Louisville to meet the girl. Police said the girl told investigators Gibson knew her age before he arrived.
Police allege Gibson arrived with a knife and threatened the teen. Investigators documented multiple alleged incidents of rape and sodomy.
Police said Gibson later admitted to having intercourse with the girl but claimed he did not know she was 14.
Gibson is charged with rape, sodomy, strangulation and assault. He pleaded not guilty in court Thursday.
He remains in custody at Louisville Metro Corrections on a $250,000 bond.
