Qannik the polar bear turned 13 years old at the Louisville Zoo on Jan. 20, 2024.

She was rescued in the wild in 2011 on Alaska's North Slope after being separated from her mother.
Zoo visitors are invited to sing "Happy Birthday" and each animal will receive special enrichment items and treats.
