The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) says about 52,000 people are expected to travel through Louisville's airport between Dec. 20 and Dec. 28.
The airport also set other records in 2019, including the busiest day to date: May 5, the day after the running of the 145th Kentucky Derby.
TSA screened 5.65 million travelers at Kentucky airports in 2021.
