Louisville Metro Police said officers arrived at the scene at 333 E. Main St. — near Slugger Field — to the sound of gunshots still firing inside the Preston Pointe building.
Twelve Republicans were vying for the GOP nomination for the November general election against Democratic Gov. Andy Beshear.
