One person dead after crash in Taylor Berry neighborhood

The passenger, who was not wearing a seatbelt, died at the scene.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — One person is dead and another injured after a single-vehicle car crash on Thursday night in Louisville's Taylor Berry neighborhood.

Louisville Metro Police spokesperson John Bradley said officers were called to Algonquin Parkway and Winkler Avenue to investigate a single-vehicle crash about 9:50 p.m. Thursday.

Officers found one car had hit a tree while trying to turn from Algonquin Parkway onto Winkler Avenue.

The passenger in the car died at the scene, and the driver had minor injuries, Bradley said.

LMPD Traffic Unit is investigating, and discovered the passenger was not wearing a seatbelt.
