LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Okolona could be getting a new restaurant on Outer Loop.
The place that's already home to Drake's, Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen, Heine Brothers and down the road from Texas Roadhouse may be adding another dining experience.
On Louisville Metro's website there's a landscape plan application submitted for a restaurant. It doesn't say what the restaurant is but the person who submitted the application is from an engineering business out of Lexington.
The possible new addition is causing mixed feelings from neighbors. Some aren't so happy with the added traffic and noise Drake's has already brought.
"Growing up here this was a dead end and you kind of felt safe, your kids riding their bikes but now my toddler can't even come out in the front yard because there's people flying up down this road 80 miles per hour," said Bryanna Wise who lives right next to Drake's.
This also comes as the Texas Roadhouse on Outer Loop is moving down the road to Brooke Elizabeth Way.
Some neighbors welcome the possibility of having a new dinner option.
"I don't think it will affect us; I think it will bring more money into the area for sure. Obviously, I don't want a gas station or something like that so, or even a store, I think restaurants are people coming in and out I think it's a real quick turnaround for those people," said Timothy Bowley, who lives in the neighborhood that backs up to the open grassy area where the restaurant would go.
As for what people want to go in the location, Wise has a front runner, "If they bring anything bring Jaggers, I've been wanting a Jaggers around here so bad."
WDRB reached out to the engineering company on the project as well as the owner of the land and haven't heard back.
As far as where it's at in the process, the landscape plan has been approved by Louisville Metro Planning.
