LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A Louisville man was sentenced to 20 years in prison after pleading guilty last week to raping two girls.
Eduardo Mansilla-Torrez was arrested by Louisville Metro Police in June 2024 on several counts of rape, sodomy and sexual abuse. According to an arrest citation, the victims were 11 and 12 years old.
Police said the victims told investigators the crimes happened on multiple occasions over several years.
"The children of our community are our highest priority, and we are committed to doing everything in our power to protect them," Commonwealth’s Attorney Gerina D. Whethers said in a news release Tuesday. "I appreciate the exceptional work of our Special Victims Unit team, which has yielded justice for the victims in this case."
Mansilla-Torrez was sentenced to the recommended 20 years in prison.
