LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Two people were arrested after chaos on a Jefferson County Public Schools bus on Wednesday.

St. Matthews Police Chief Barry Wilkerson said a bus pulled off of Shelbyville Road near Mall St. Matthews because two students were fighting.

Wilkerson said officers thought they had everything under control, so the bus left. But another fight broke out.

The bus driver pulled over a second time, students got off the bus and parents started showing up, Wilkerson said.

It's unclear who was arrested or what they might be charged with. Wilkerson said the students threatened the bus driver and didn't listen to officers.

Another bus came to get students and finish the route.

JCPS has not yet responded to a request for comment.
