LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Two people were displaced after a house fire in Louisville's Highlands Douglass neighborhood Sunday.
Louisville Fire responded about 2:43 p.m. to a three-story multi-family house in the 2200 block of Lauderdale Road, off Spring Drive, department spokesperson Donovan Sims said.
Sims said crews arrived to heavy fire coming from the building. One occupant was able to exit the home without assistance.
Sims said due to the "size and complexity" of the fire, more resources were required. A total of eight apparatuses and about 50 firefighters got control of the fire about 4:22 p.m.
No injuries were reported, but the home suffered significant fire and smoke damage.
Louisville Fire's Arson Unit is investigating the cause of the fire.
