LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- An apartment home near Shively suffered significant damage after a fire broke out early Tuesday morning.
According to Shively Fire Chief Charles Mucker, fire crews were dispatched to the 4800 block of Dover Road just before 3:30 a.m.
Firefighters from the Shively, Louisville and Pleasure Ridge Park fire departments arrived to a two-story, 12-unit apartment home that was fully engulfed.
It took approximately 30 firefighters 21 minutes to control the fire.
Six units in the first and second floor were heavily damaged, and adjacent properties experienced minimal damage.
The American Red Cross was called to help the displaced residents, Mucker said.
There were no injuries reported.
LFD Arson is investigating the case.
