It happened around 12:30 Sunday afternoon at the AAK plant in the 2500 block of 7th Street Road in Shively.
The shooting happened about 1:30 a.m. Monday.
Police are investigating, and Brown said it does not appear to be a targeted incident.
He was transported in critical condition but later died at UofL Hospital.
