LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Shively police are investigating after a woman was shot in the head Friday night.

Shively Police were called a little after 10:30 Friday night to the 2600 block of Rockford Lane on a report of a shooting, department spokesperson Sgt. Jordan Brown said. 

When police arrived at the scene, they found a female victim, believed to be in her mid-thirties, who had been shot in the head. Brown said her injuries are not thought to be life-threatening at this time.

Police are investigating, and Brown said it does not appear to be a targeted incident.
