LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Louisville man was arrested Wednesday morning after allegedly body-slamming a Walmart employee while attempting to steal candy.
According to court documents, 18-year-old Taydrian Gray began opening merchandise with the intent to steal it at a Walmart on Dixie Highway.
An employee approached Gray after he opened a Kit Kat candy bar and told him he had to pay for it.
Court documents state Gray "became enraged" and began verbally berating the employee. As he was leaving the store, Gray walked back inside, punched the employee twice in the face and "body-slammed" her to the ground.
Store employees and bystanders were able to hold Gray until police arrived. The victim reported pain in her eye socket and left wrist.
The merchandise Gray attempted to steal was valued at $10.46, according to court documents.
Gray has been charged with robbery.
