LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Six people were arrested Wednesday after Meade County deputies searched a home investigators had been watching for months.
The Meade County Sheriff's Office served a search warrant early Aug. 26 at a home on Doe Valley Parkway East.
Sheriff Phillip Wimpee said deputies had been getting tips about possible drug activity at the residence and had been investigating it for more than five months.
According to the sheriff's office, six people were arrested on drug-related charges and booked into the Meade County Detention Center.
Among those arrested was 46-year-old Joe Gatrost, who is charged with first-offense possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Gatrost is being held without bond.
Tiffany Kirchner, 42, was charged with trafficking more than two grams of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Paulina Keith, 29, was charged with first-offense possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Keith is also being held without bond.
Three others — 30-year-old Elijah Morris, 29-year-old Brittany Vanwinkle-Raley and 41-year-old James Shaw — were each charged with first-offense possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Morris and Vanwinkle-Raley are both being held without bond.
The sheriff's office released video from the search showing several people in handcuffs as the sheriff discussed the arrests.
The investigation is ongoing.
