LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A 64-yer-old man has died days after being hit by a car in west Louisville.

According to Louisville Metro Police spokesperson Dwight Mitchell, on Oct. 2 a car was traveling south on South 28th Street waiting to turn left onto eastbound West Broadway when it hit a pedestrian who was in the crosswalk.

Mitchell said the pedestrian had the signal to cross W. Broadway. The car made the left turn onto West Broadway, hitting the pedestrian. The driver didn't stop to render aid and continued east on West Broadway.

On Sunday, the Jefferson County Coroner's identified the pedestrian as Claude Dailey, of Louisville, who died from his injuries on Oct. 10 at University of Louisville Hospital. 

Mitchell said they are still looking for the driver.
