LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A Louisville man is dead after an early Sunday morning crash in Meade County, Kentucky.

Kentucky State Police Elizabethtown Post said in a release it was contacted a little before 6 a.m. Sunday about a car hitting a pedestrian on Dixie Highway in Meade County.

KSP said a Nissan sedan, driven by Jordan Sanborn, 24, of Louisville, was traveling north on Dixie Highway when he hit a pedestrian. 

The pedestrian, 34-year-old Troy Jackson, of Louisville, was pronounced dead by the Meade County Coroner's Office. 

KSP said Sanborn received minor injuries and was taken to Baptist Health Hardin in Elizabethtown. 

Police are still investigating the crash.
