LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A bakery in southern Indiana will open this weekend after rebranding and relocating.

Amanda Marks moved The Cozy Crumb, formerly known as Bagel Girls, from Corydon to 5801 U.S. 150 in Floyds Knobs to a space previously owned by Adrienne & Company Donut and Desserts. Adrienne's is still open on West Court Avenue in Jeffersonville.

The bakery bought some baking equipment from Adrienne's so they can expand their menu beyond bagels to include doughnuts and cheesecakes, according to our partners at Louisville Business First.

Marks told LBF her passion for baking was born out of an inability to sleep about five years ago.

"I just remember thinking, 'I should be more productive at night,'" she said. "If I'm not gonna sleep, I should find something to do with my time while everyone else is asleep, and so that's why I ended up as a doughnut maker."

LBF reported Marks purchased Bagel Girls from its original owner last February. When she decided to move, she chose to rebrand to reflect the variety of baked goods The Cozy Crumb will offer.

The Cozy Crumb plans to hold its grand opening at 9 a.m. Sunday, May 24.
