LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A missing Northern Kentucky University student was found dead Sunday.

On Sunday, Covington Police Department said the body of 22-year-old Murry (Alexis) Foust, of Covington, was found at 1 Steel Plant Road in Wilder, Kentucky, about five miles south of Covington, by an independently organized search party.

Foust went missing around April 20, according to a Covington Police social media post.

Covington Police said they are actively investigating along with the Wilder Police Department and the Campbell County Coroner's Office. The official cause of death will come from the coroner's office.

Police said "there are currently no indications of foul play."

NKU released this statement Sunday evening:

"We are heartbroken to learn of the death of our student, Murry (Alexis) Foust. Our thoughts are with their family, friends and all who knew them. This is a profound loss for our campus community. We are grateful to the Covington Police Department and all of those who assisted in the search efforts. We encourage any members of our campus community who may be struggling to reach out for support.
