LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Indiana State Police has given the all clear after an unattended backpack evacuated a portion of Holiday World & Splashin' Safari in Santa Claus, Ind., on Thursday.

Officials said the ISP bomb squad and K-9 unit were called out to check on the backpack.

Holiday World tweeted just before 9 p.m. that guests and employees were being evacuated in cooperation with ISP, and everyone was safe.

Visitors to the park were moved outside the front gates of the park, and many had to stay until after the scene was cleared in order to get belongings out of the park's lockers.

The park will be open at its normal time Friday.
