LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- For the second time in less than two months, a fireball meteor in the night sky dazzled people in several states, and it was caught on camera in Kentucky.
It happened around 11:36 p.m. Thursday.
WDRB Chief Meteorologist Marc Weinberg said he actually saw it in person, and wrote about it on his Facebook page: "It was massive!!! Fragmented as it fell from overhead toward the north with an incredible green color. I can’t believe I just saw that!!!!"
Weinberg also posted a video on his X account showing the meteor that was sent to him from viewer Kaitlyn Ann
I now have video of the #fireball #meteor seen by hundreds over Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio, and Illinois around 11:36 pm on Thursday night! Kaitlyn Ann shared this video with me. pic.twitter.com/MoWhZpWaSz

Another fireball meteor was captured on doorbell cameras in the early morning hours of Aug. 2.
