ZaZa THC drink created by Against the Grain - 8.7.25

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- An award-winning Louisville brewery created a new THC beverage.

Against the Grain created ZaZa, a hemp-derived THC drink, launching it in Kentucky and southern Indiana earlier this summer, according to a news release.

"People tend to think we're just 'the beer guys,' but, really, we're the 'make-awesome-drinks guys,'" said Sam Cruz, co-founder of Against the Grain, said in the news release. "ZAZA represents a deliberate left turn for us, a move into a new category, but one that still reflects who we are at our core."

The fruit-flavored soda comes in 5 milligrams or 10 milligrams (outside of Kentucky), has 60 calories and is available now in lemon-lime and cherry. Watermelon, grape and orange flavors are coming soon.

The release said the onset is fast-acting, about 10-15 minutes, and "the vibe" can last up to two hours.

ZaZa is now available at Kentucky Liquor Barn and Cox's Smoker's Outlet. Later in August, the drink will be available at Against the Grain Public House, selling for $4.99 a can.
