EARTH DAY AT BERNHEIM FORREST

Bernheim Forest and Arboretum celebrated Earth Day on April 19, 2025.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Bernheim Forest and Arboretum celebrated Earth Day ahead of the official day on Tuesday.

This year's event theme on Saturday was the Circle of Harmony and Health. Guests could participate in science and chemistry experiments.

There was also a tree giveaway as local gardeners shared information on how to spruce up a backyard. Children could also take part in arts and crafts and nature stations.

"I believe that the planet teaches us to show appreciation, remind us that we are a very small part of it and that by working together we can have an abundance mindset and do bigger things together," said Rebecca Brady, Chief Operating Officer at Bernheim Forest.

It was Bernheim's third annual restore event that focuses on harmony between humans and the planet.

Bernheim Forest and Arboretum was founded in 1929 by Isaac W. Bernheim. It is more than 16,000 acres.
