LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — More than 2,000 fans waited in line for hours at the Liquor Barn in Middletown Sunday for a chance to meet stars of "The Best Man" — who are now making a name for themselves in the bourbon business.
Jennifer and Annalicia Scott were first in line, waiting more than seven hours to meet actors Taye Diggs, Harold Perrineau, Morris Chestnut, and the film’s director Malcolm D. Lee. The group is behind Sable Bourbon, a new spirit based out of Kentucky.

“Just enjoying the time with my daughter and showing Morris Chestnut that we have loved him since Boyz n the Hood — and just showing him Louisville spirit,” said Jennifer Scott.
Both Scott and her daughter were wearing T-shirts with Morris Chestnut on them. "I've been a fan for 26 years!"
Store officials estimated more than 2,000 people showed up, with the line snaking through the store and down the street.
Chestnut told WDRB News the bourbon venture made sense given the legacy of the film.
“It was very authentic because in the movies we always drink a brown liquor — when we're at the poker table, when we're trying to pick up the spirits of one of the other cast members on the show,” he said. “So it only made perfect sense for us to do a bourbon.”
After signing bottles and greeting fans in Louisville, the group continued on to Bespoken Spirits in Lexington as part of their bourbon trail tour.
