LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The planned Costco on Bardstown Road takes another step forward.

The Louisville Planning Commission approved zoning changes needed to bring the big box store and gas station to the old Showcase Cinemas site.

It will be Costco's second store in Louisville.

A Costco official said the store is still a little more than a year from opening.

Costco initially didn't want to include a bike rack at the store because -- they say - nobody rides a bike to Costco. But they quickly agreed to provide spaces for bikes, saying their employees might use them.

The Metro Council still needs to sign off on the plan.
