LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Is a recession finally coming? That's what a lot of people are wondering after sales numbers are trending down from places like McDonald's and Starbucks.
Reports are saying that part of the slowdown is due to boycotts related to the Israel-Hamas conflict, but most of the slump is from inflation-hit consumers trimming back on things they don't necessarily mean.
One woman said she is trying to save her money, rather than spend it.
"I put it in a fund so that if something happens in a year, I have access to it."
The weird feeling that many Americans are experiencing now is being described as a "vibe-flation," according to economists.
