LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — The gyms at two southern Indiana high schools will get multimillion-dollar facelifts.

Renovations are already underway in the main and auxiliary gyms at both New Albany High School and Floyd Central High School, according to our partners at Louisville Business First.

NAHS received $4.3 million and FCHS got $4.2 million to spend on the projects.

New Albany-Floyd County Schools Superintendent Travis Madison said the renovations provide an opportunity to refresh both gyms, including floor repairs and bleacher replacement.

The work is part of the district's $400 million renovation plan it hopes to finish by 2030. That includes relocating a softball field and adding two new elementary schools.
