LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A Grayson County grower broke the Kentucky State Fair record Saturday at the annual Largest Pumpkin and Watermelon Contest.

Josh Monin's pumpkin weighed 1,882.4 pounds, setting a new record.

Nick McCaslin of Hancock County won the watermelon contest with a watermelon weighing 245.7 pounds.

The record-smashing pumpkin and champion watermelon will remain on display in the West Wing of the Kentucky Exposition Center for the duration of the Kentucky State Fair.
