LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Indiana State Police helped rescue a bald eagle Saturday after it was hit by a vehicle in Washington County.
According to Indiana State Police, Trooper Nathan Teusch saw the eagle on State Road 60 near Salem and stopped to help until a conservation officer arrived.
The eagle suffered broken bones and was taken to Hardy Lake near Scottsburg for rehabilitation and further care, police said.
