LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A historic Louisville restaurant brand is up for sale.
The owners of Kingfish listed their restaurant business and two riverfront properties for $14 million, according to our partners at Louisville Business First.
The listing includes the Kingfish restaurant on River Road in Louisville and the location on West Riverside Drive in downtown Jeffersonville.
LBF reported the Louisville restaurant, built in 1975, is listed for $8 million, while the Jeffersonville location is listed for $6 million.
The owners said both restaurants will stay open and they prefer to sell them together, though they are open to selling them individually. The business is included in the price of the restaurants, but the owners said they would sell the properties without the business.
Craig Collins, senior director at Cushman & Wakefield Commercial Kentucky and one of the listing agents, told LBF the owners are retiring and are hoping to "pass the torch" to someone with restaurant experience who can modernize the brand, menu and facilities.Â
