LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A 17-year-old boy has been arrested in connection with a shooting last month in Louisville's Park Hill neighborhood that left five people shot.

Louisville Metro Police said officers located and arrested the teen late Wednesday afternoon.

The shooting happened July 14 in the 2200 block of St. Louis Avenue near St. Louis Park.

Police said five people were injured, including a 51-year-old woman, a 50-year-old woman, a 26-year-old man and a 22-year-old man. A 48-year-old woman was also grazed by a bullet.

Several victims were taken to UofL Hospital, while others went to the hospital on their own. All known victims were expected to survive.

Police said the shooting stemmed from an "ongoing dispute" related to a previous assault. Investigators determined two groups of people confronted each other in the park before shots were fired.

The teen is charged with four counts of second-degree assault, two counts of first-degree wanton endangerment, second-degree possession of a handgun by a minor and discharging a firearm or other device across a public road.

Because the teen is underage, he will not be identified.
