LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Louisville Metro Police is investigating after five people were shot Tuesday night in the Park Hill neighborhood.

Officers were called around 10 p.m. to the 2200 block of St. Louis Avenue near St. Louis Park on reports of a shooting, police said.

When officers arrived, they found multiple people who were shot.

Police said a 51-year-old woman, a 50-year-old woman, a 26-year-old man and a 22-year-old man were all shot. Another 48-year-old woman was also grazed by a bullet.

Several victims were taken to UofL Hospital, while others arrived by private means.

All of the known victims are expected to survive, police said. Officers also believe one or two additional people were injured but declined medical treatment.

LMPD said preliminary investigation shows the shooting stemmed from an "ongoing dispute" related to a previous assault. Investigators determined two groups of people "confronted each other" in the park before shots were fired.

More than 40 LMPD officers responded to the scene and UofL Hospital. Police said they are working to process the "large and complex" crime scene and that no arrests have been made.
