LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Twin sisters are accused of stalking two Louisville corrections officers for weeks, according to Louisville Metro Police.
Louisville Metro Police said the women repeatedly showed up outside Metro Corrections, watched officers come and go, sent threatening messages and even took photos of their homes before they were arrested Thursday.
Shavonne Gore, 40, and Kevonne Gore, 40, are both charged with second-degree stalking and harassment. Kevonne Gore also faces a DUI charge.
According to the arrest citations, one of the officers first contacted police after an encounter outside Metro Corrections June 7.
One of the officers told police Kevonne Gore was sitting outside the jail when the officer arrived for work. She called out the officer's name and, after getting a response, shook her head in what police described as a "threatening way."
Over the next five weeks, police said the sisters kept coming back. They allegedly watched officers arrive and leave, stared at them, recorded them with their phones and were spotted near the jail multiple times by Flock cameras.
Police also said one officer started receiving messages with photos of the officer's home and ex-wife's home.
One message allegedly said, "Don't think the games that you started came to an end cause I will find you one way or another." Investigators also said someone left a black rose on the officer's vehicle that same day.
According to the citations, the sisters also created a social media account using the officer's daughter's nickname. Police said they used it to send more photos of the officer's home along with messages saying, "I know what you did."
Police said it came to a head Thursday when one of the sisters yelled a second officer's name from across the street from the jail and said, "I got something for you. You better watch your back."
Investigators said the sisters also claimed they knew officers' schedules, routines and home addresses.
Both sisters told police they knew the officers because of an earlier issue involving an inmate, the citation said. But police said they gave conflicting explanations for why they kept showing up outside the jail.
Kevonne Gore was also charged with DUI after officers said they smelled alcohol on her breath and she showed signs of impairment during field sobriety tests.
Both women were arraigned Friday and pleaded not guilty. Court records show they posted partially secured $10,000 bonds and were ordered to have no contact with the officers. Their next court date is July 27.
