LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A popular Highlands restaurant permanently closed Friday.
La Bamba on Bardstown Road has officially closed. A sign on the door confirmed the closure.
The restaurant's slogan was "Burritos as big as your head."
It's been a popular late-night staple on Bardstown Road for nearly 30 years. A few La Bamba restaurants remain open, including in Indianapolis.
According to our partners at Louisville Business First, the properties at 1237-1239 Bardstown Road were sold in late July for $2.2 million.
