LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Calling a customer service line may lead you to a scam. Many numbers you find online end up being fake.
Most scams are coming out of Amazon. If you have a problem with a Walmart or Home Depot order, you can easily look up their customer service line and give them a call.
With Amazon, it's not as easy since it's an online-based company.
Fraudsters are posting fake Amazon customer support phone numbers that now show up in Google searches.
If you fall for one of the toll free numbers that pop up, you'll get someone who says they work for Amazon and then ask for your account info to "fix" your problem.
Be careful googling any major company's phone number, and your best bet with Amazon is going through the sit itself and their customer feedback section.
